The Catholic Charities Junior Board represents a new chapter in the history of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Beginning in 2002, it is an adjunct to the Board of Advisers created to invest community leaders in the mission of Catholic Charities. The goal of the Junior Board is to enable younger benefactors to support Catholic Charities in order to directly execute their service, social and spiritual missions.
The Catholic Charities Junior Board consists of over 250 men and women, traditionally between the ages of 21 and 45. The primary motivation for joining the Junior Board is to become more involved in the work of Catholic Charities and to give back to the community. With over 8 social events planned this year, the Junior Board is also an excellent networking tool and means of meeting new people with similar interests throughout Chicago. Some of our most popular events, just to name a few, include the Last Curse Standing Cubs Outing, the Junior Board Boat Cruise with live entertainment and open bar, Guest Bartending events at various bars and exclusive social clubs throughout Chicago, and Early Childhood Christmas Celebration, Mass and Brunch events, and our signature Junior Board event: the annual Charities Royale Casino Night and Silent Auction.
